We love Hell’s Kitchen! It’s the fastest-growing area of Manhattan with new glass and steel luxury buildings at the edges mixing with the classic walkup apartment buildings at the center. The newcomers to New York rub shoulders with old-timers in the neighborhood. We have published a monthly print magazine for the last 6 years.

Since the pandemic, we have suspended publication of the magazine and been keeping the neighborhood connected, updated, and upbeat with our daily newsletter and website. Hell’s Kitchen was truly at the center of the global pandemic. To the west, we had the Javits Center turned into an emergency hospital and the USNS Comfort docked, to the east, we had Broadway shuttered and Times Square empty, below us, the brand new Hudson Yards was mothballed. Our community was a living neighborhood in the middle of all that.

Now W42ST.nyc has connected thousands of our neighbors (and those who love Hell’s Kitchen but aren’t living here) with what’s going on. We’ve made sure every day we keep locals updated and upbeat as we survive (and eventually thrive) through the challenges of COVID-19.
