W42ST Daily – 10/12/2020

Happy Monday, Hells Kitchen!

Thank you for taking the time yesterday to vote for W42ST in the Best of NYC Awards. At the start of Sunday, we were over 1,000 votes behind the Manhattan leader, and by midnight we’d got nearly one thousand votes more! You are the BEST!

The winner is announced on October 28 after the judges have taken into account the public voting, our value to the local community, and our website. Fingers crossed, let’s hope we are in for a nice surprise.

HAVE YOU BEEN SEEING SNOWPLOWS!?
You might have been outside looking for fall colors (running late in NYC this year) and instead saw a snowplow. WTF!

Don’t worry, the Department of Sanitation has told us that snow training is underway! It will take place every Sunday for the next few weeks, so don’t panic when you spot a snowplow or salt spreader on the streets.

Just to give you a preview of what’s to come. Here’s 11th Avenue in Feb 2014. See how the Market Diner is in the background, where Oskar and a Starbucks is now!
