Today’s W42ST Daily presented by TFC — 7/22/2020

If you look at 9th Avenue from the right angle, it’s starting to take on the guise of a European city. Outdoor dining in the summer heat is a treat specially for 2020. Businesses have rapidly innovated to create tables in parking spaces, there are waiters dodging the bike lane, and cosy tables for two (with social distancing offering diners more privacy than New York has ever seen).
We may never see this again. So let’s enjoy summer 2020 while we can. I walked from 34th Street up to the 50s last night to feast my eyes, and share with you the spectacle. Photos here📸
