We asked W42ST readers for their favorite wine bar in Hell’s Kitchen — and this is what they told us. Let’s raise a glass to all of these neighborhood establishments!

Ardesia – 510 W52nd St (bw 10th & 11th Ave)

Smoked Bluefish Dip with Amy’s Bread plus Salt Cod Fritters paired with a bright, citrus-y white wine.

“From the friendly staff to great wine and delicious food, you can’t go wrong. Their creativeness to stay afloat during the pandemic was incredibly impressive. The space is incredible as well. The indoor is spacious and the outdoor patio is relaxing and great for people watching. Not just my favorite wine bar, but my favorite HK spot — hands down!” said Sue Fitzgerald.

Kashkaval Garden – 852 9th Ave (bw W55th & 56th St)

“Kashkaval Garden is probably my favorite go to. I’ve been a fan since the original Kashkaval transformed from a small grocery into a wine bar. They continued their great tradition of delicious wine and food when they moved to their new home. Sitting at that beautiful wooden bar with the soft candle lighting and enjoying a glass of wine with a tapas is an instant mood lift! Although I do hope they stop raising the food prices — it’s gone up a lot over the years, so it’s now more of a treat than a regular stop,” said Alison Saltz.

Kashkaval Garden has every day Happy Hour from 4-6pm which includes $5 select wine glasses. Check out our Hell’s Kitchen Happy Hour list…
