We asked W42ST readers for their favorite wine bar in Hell’s Kitchen — and this is what they told us. Let’s raise a glass to all of these neighborhood establishments!
Ardesia – 510 W52nd St (bw 10th & 11th Ave)

“From the friendly staff to great wine and delicious food, you can’t go wrong. Their creativeness to stay afloat during the pandemic was incredibly impressive. The space is incredible as well. The indoor is spacious and the outdoor patio is relaxing and great for people watching. Not just my favorite wine bar, but my favorite HK spot — hands down!” said Sue FitzGerald.
Aria – 369 W51st St (bw 8th & 9th Ave)

“I have made friends at the bar over delicious food and wine. And it’s my first bar every time I return to my favorite city,” said Nancy Crandall.
Briciola – 370 W51st St (bw 8th & 9th Ave)

“Nice selection of wines and perfect matching menu for light food accompaniments; staff is always so pleasant,” said Paul Devlin.
Crispin’s – 754 10th Ave (corner of W52nd St)

“Crispin’s — due to the brilliant and friendly owners, the selection of wine and interior,” said Nicco Backman.
Giardino 54 – 400 1/2 W54th St (corner of 9th Ave)

“The bar is super cute with brick walls. Great selections of wine to pair with the amazing food,” said Carolyn Boszack.
They’re also on our Hell’s Kitchen Happy Hour list for the $7-8 glasses of wine from 4-7pm and from 10pm to closing.
Kashkaval Garden – 852 9th Ave (bw W55th & 56th St)

“Kashkaval Garden is probably my favorite go to. I’ve been a fan since the original Kashkaval transformed from a small grocery into a wine bar. They continued their great tradition of delicious wine and food when they moved to their new home. Sitting at that beautiful wooden bar with the soft candle lighting and enjoying a glass of wine with a tapas is an instant mood lift! Although I do hope they stop raising the food prices — it’s gone up a lot over the years, so it’s now more of a treat than a regular stop,” said Alison Saltz.
Kashkaval Garden has every day Happy Hour from 4-6pm which includes $5 select wine glasses. Check out our Hell’s Kitchen Happy Hour list…
Marseille – 630 9th Ave (corner of W44th St)

Medi Wine Bar – 811 9th Ave (bw W53rd & 54th St)

“Beautiful outdoor seating and great atmosphere,” said Dana Lech.

They also feature in our HK Happy Hour list for their Wine Wednesday — enjoy $20 bottles of select wine all day and night long.
Pocket Bar – 455 W48th St (bw 9th & 10th Ave)

“Captures that ‘everyone knows your name” Cheers-like, community-driven experience, while also featuring high-quality wine and outstanding service,” said Brian Mastroianni.
The Harrow – 720 10th Ave (bw W49th & 50th St)

“Go in for the small bite plates (which are fantastic) and enjoy the company of Kristie the manager and Graham the bartender!” said Shaun Ozminski.
The Press Lounge – 653 11th Ave 16th Floor (corner of W48th St)
