Tomorrow (Tuesday) sees the National Night Out Against Crime — and Hell’s Kitchen is playing host to two free fun events.
Everyone is welcome as Midtown South Precinct Community Council play hosts at McCaffery Park, on W 43rd Street between 8th & 9th Avenue, with activities running from 5 to 8pm. there will be music and giveaways courtesy of Z100, food & refreshments from Joe’s Pizza, Starbucks, M&T Pretzels, and homemade Italian Ices from Vito’s Slices and Ices. Mobile COVID vaccinations and testing services will be available on site.
Midtown Precinct North Community Council are hosting their event at Hell’s Kitchen Park, at 10th Avenue, between W 47th and 48th Street from 5:30 to 8pm. Among the activities are a display of historic Hell’s Kitchen photos presented by the Hell’s Kitchen Generations Project, balloon art by Twisted Balloon, a live performance by local opera singer Steven Herring and pick up basketball with NYPD. There’s also pizza, compliments of the Times Square Alliance, ices courtesy of Maria’s Ices Cart and lemonade provided by Añejo NYC.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to help make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It seeks to strengthen the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement, fostering a sense of community.
