Happy Thursday. It’s currently 84 degrees — but from stepping outside and looking at our phone’s weather app, we can attest to it feeling like 91 degrees. This afternoon there’s a good chance of a storm thundering through which could include hail showers!
Three months ago today, Julio Ramirez left the Ritz Bar and Lounge on Restaurant Row after a night out in Hell’s Kitchen. We have been told consistently that there is a video showing three men getting into a cab with Julio. When Julio was found dead downtown he had no wallet, no phone and no form of identification. His body was at the hospital’s morgue as a “John Doe” — he had been robbed. Yesterday, we wrote to Council Member Erik Bottcher and Senator Brad Hoylman to ask for answers. We think it might have gone by now, but this 10th Avenue “treasure” (disposable gloves included) was out on the street yesterday afternoon. Our social media post gained quite a few comments, but disappointingly didn’t make it to the @curbalertnyc or @stoopingnyc Instagram accounts. “Lol. I had a pleather couch I loved and it peeled. Not this bad though,” said Jodi.
