Thanks to Elaine Keating-Brown for the picture of this small woodpecker on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. “You can still see beauty on the dirty NYC streets. Played peekaboo while waiting for the bus on 42/9th Ave,” she said on Instagram. Elaine checked the bird out on Google Lens and confirmed it to be a yellow-bellied sapsucker!
