This week we’ve spotted what looks like tree pits outside local bars and restaurants. This one is on the corner of 10th Avenue and W45th Street in front of Hellcat Annie’s — and there are similar ones on 9th Avenue outside Norma and Mee Noodle. Council Member Erik Bottcher’s office has reached out to various city agencies to confirm if they are for trees or LinkNYC advertising kiosks. Have you seen others? Do you know what they are for? Fingers crossed for trees…
