Over 100 industry leaders and concerned residents participated in a public hearing by the Department of Transportation yesterday, with a majority of participants slamming the DOT’s proposal to institute wider four-wheeled cargo bikes that go up to speeds of 20 miles per hour in bike lanes — and one issuing the dire warning: “If this passes, there is no doubt this will end in dead cyclists.” Read more…

And just like that… We bid “adiós” to Rincon 50 at the corner of 9th Avenue and W50th — and said “benvenuto” to Il Divino. The new sign went up yesterday afternoon, and by the evening, we could see a “friends and family” event at the new restaurant. Has anyone tried it yet?
