Well, here’s news to melt a Broadway lover’s heart – and you’d be a dummy to ignore it! The curtains are closed in the Theater District for the foreseeable future, but Madame Tussauds is bringing a taste of Broadway back to the heart of New York City.

On every Saturday in October, a top Broadway star will perform from the venue’s A-List balcony. From belting ballads to stirring show-stoppers, these tunes will be the sweet music to the ears.

The series began on October 10 with Ali Ewoldt, who stars as Christine in “The Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway.

“Broadway is vital to our city. We hope that this taste of Broadway fills the room with excitement for the bright future we know lies ahead,” said Mindy Clements, General Manager at Madame Tussauds New York. “This series of performances is a natural extension of our immersive and innovative Broadway experience which allows guests to see first-hand what it takes to make a Broadway show happen every night.”

“I’m missing Broadway so much so to have a little taste of “Cats” or seeing Glenn Close in all her “Sunset Boulevard” refinery is so exciting,” said Ali Ewoldt. “For those who don’t often get to step on to a Broadway stage, to get to see it in real life is so thrilling.”

And there’s a special deal for locals priced at $19.99. Local ticket eligibility is limited to residents of New Jersey, New York’s five boroughs, Connecticut’s Fairfield and New Haven counties. Visit madametussauds.com to purchase tickets and to review safety protocols.
