New York City politics remains in the toilet even after Mayor De Blasio made an abrupt reversal of the decision to ban restaurant customers from using the bathroom.
The Mayor’s office sought to wipe clean their involvement with their own Executive Order to stop bathroom use, buy blaming it on New York State.
Their decision, after the backlash, was relayed in a tweet from Avery Cohen, De Blasio’s Press Secretary this morning.
“After discussions with the State, they have agreed to change the rule around bathroom access,” Cohen wrote.
She followed up with a clarification tweet: “(You can use the bathroom.)”
The rest of the Executive Order remains in place that stops indoor ordering or pick up, and new rules on outdoor structures.
