Jump to it, Hell’s Kitcheners! Beginning Friday, October 22, New Yorkers get 50% off tickets to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The new cost of general admission for residents of the five boroughs will be $16 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $12 for children ages 5-12.

In addition to their permanent exhibits, the museum’s current lineup of exhibitions includes Navy Cakes: A Slice of History, featuring recipes, photos, and artifacts related to all the ambitious confections baked onboard the Intrepid and Growler; Kamikaze: Beyond the Fire, a sobering look at the history and impact of kamikazes; and On the Line: Intrepid and the Vietnam War, exploring the Intrepid’s three tours of duty in Vietnam from 1966-1969.

Last week, Intrepid hosted gourmet events related to the 14th annual edition of the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF). It was the festival’s first time celebrating on Pier 86 and 76, after moving from its former hub at Piers 92 and 94.

TOP TIP! If you want just a sample of what Intrepid has to offer — or a nice walk out to the Hudson River — Pier 86 is free to the public. To access the pier for free, just enter through the Welcome Center during museum hours.
