Bryant Park will be filled with Broadway glitz and glamor at a free daytime concert planned for next month. On Thursday, September 23, the popular Broadway in Bryant Park event returns — with all the fun kicking off at noon.

Broadway shows confirmed to appear at the two-hour concert include Aladdin, Caroline, Or Change, Chicago, Diana The Musical, Girl From The North Country, Mrs Doubtfire, Six, Stomp, The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera and Waitress.

Hosts are Broadway performers Rob McClure and Myles Frost, of Mrs. Doubtfire and MJ the Musical respectively, plus Cubby and Christine from 106.7 LITE FM. All the fun will be happening on the Bryant Park stage, so bring your lunch and head down early to grab a space on the lawn.

The park has been alive with the sound of music this summer — a total of 25 free “picnic performances” have been programmed since June.

“We are so excited to bring back the annual Broadway in Bryant Park in its 21st year,” Chris Conley, program director of 106.7 LITE FM told Playbill. “This is a great way to allow New Yorkers a chance to see Broadway up close and personal and give them something to enjoy while we continue to move towards the reopening of New York City.”
